Privacy

We keep as little as a golf league needs, in Canada, and never sell it or use it for ads.

Draft for the pilot, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. It describes what the app does today.

What we keep

  • Your name and mobile number, so your league can reach you and you can sign in.
  • Your scores, handicap, attendance (In or Out) and sub offers, so the league can pair groups and post results.
  • What you owe and have paid the league, as a record the organizer keeps. Card payments, if your league takes them, are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  • For tournaments: what you enter on the sign-up form, such as an email address or a question the organizer asks.
  • If you use the phone app, a notification address for your phone.
  • Your Handicap Index, only if you add it to your account.

Who sees it

Your league’s organizers see your name and number. Other golfers in your league see your name, scores and standings. Public results pages show names and scores only, never phone numbers. If a course runs your league, its staff see what the organizer sees.

Texts

We text you only after you agree to texts, and only about your league: reminders, sub offers, tee times and news from your organizer. Reply STOP to any text to stop them all; START turns them back on. Sign-in codes are always sent, because you asked for them.

Where it’s stored, and who helps us

Your league data is stored in Canada. These services process it for us, only to run the app:

  • Supabase: the database and sign-in (Canada).
  • Vercel: hosts the website.
  • Twilio: sends texts. Expo: sends phone notifications. Resend: sends email.
  • Stripe: card payments, when a league turns them on.
  • Sentry: error reports, set up to leave out your name and number.
  • PostHog: counts of what happens (leagues set up, rounds closed), without your name.
  • Anthropic: when an organizer describes their league in words, that description is sent to Claude to fill in the settings. Only what the organizer types is sent.

Some of these services may process data outside Canada.

Getting your data, or deleting it

On your account you can download everything we keep about you, turn texts off, or delete your account. Deleting removes your name, number and email everywhere and signs you out. Past results and league books stay, marked “Former golfer”, so other players’ standings and money still add up.
